Frequently Asked Questions

Can you engrave an ultrasound scan image?

Yes — simply send us a clear photo or scan of your ultrasound image and we will engrave it onto your chosen piece. This is a beautiful option for new parents, pregnancy announcements, and baby loss memorial jewellery. Please ensure the image is clear and well-lit for the best result.

Can I engrave my child’s drawing or artwork?

Yes — this is one of our most popular and treasured options. Send us a clear photo or scan of your child’s drawing on plain white paper and we will engrave it exactly as drawn, capturing every wobbly line and personal detail. Very fine or light lines may engrave with reduced visibility — contact me for advice if you’re unsure.

Can I engrave a heartbeat or ECG line?

Yes! Send us a photo or scan of a heartbeat printout from a hospital monitor or ECG reading and we will engrave the line onto your piece. This is a deeply personal option, particularly for memorial jewellery.

Can I send a photo of handwriting?

Yes — send us a clear photo or scan of the handwriting on plain white paper, written with a fine-tipped pen or fine-tipped Sharpie marker. Avoid standard ballpoint pens as these can appear too faint. We will reproduce the handwriting as faithfully as possible.

Can I send a photo of a fingerprint or paw print?

Yes! We accept clear photographs of fingerprints and paw prints. For the best engraving result, we recommend our Real Print Kit or Paw Print Kit add-on, which allows you to send us an actual ink impression. Both options are available at checkout.

What is the Real Print Kit?

Our Real Print Kit is an optional add-on that includes everything you need to take a clean ink impression of a fingerprint, paw print, or footprint at home. You then post it back to us, and we use it to create the most detailed and accurate engraving possible. This is a new option available exclusively on our engraved jewellery range.

Can you engrave coordinates or a star map?

Yes — simply provide us with the coordinates or the date and location for your star map at checkout and we will engrave it onto your chosen piece.

Can you create a silhouette or portrait from a photo?

Yes — send us a clear photo and we will create a simple silhouette or outline to engrave onto your piece. This works beautifully for children, pets, and loved ones.

Is laser engraving permanent?

Yes — laser engraving etches directly into the metal surface and will not fade, peel, or wash off over time, making it ideal for memorial and keepsake jewellery.

How visible will the engraving be?

Visibility depends on the metal and finish. Gold and highly polished surfaces show engraving most clearly. Oxidised or brushed finishes may reduce contrast. Very fine lines — including some drawings, ultrasound images, and light handwriting — may appear less defined. Please contact me before ordering if you have any concerns.

How long does engraving take?

Engraved pieces are made to order. Please allow 1–5 weeks for sterling silver and 1–10 weeks for solid gold from the date we receive your artwork or print. Stainless steel pieces are typically ready within 5 working days.

Are engraved items returnable?

No — all engraved and personalised items are non-returnable and non-refundable as they are made specifically for you. Please double-check all details before placing your order.

Do you offer engraved jewellery as a gift?

Yes — our engraved jewellery makes a deeply personal and meaningful gift. We can ship directly to the recipient with a gift note included. Please add your message at checkout.
